Are We Facing Apocalypse – Survive The End Days

Amazing download to survive for you and your familyWhat has prompted me to write this? Several things, so keep reading.

WATCH THIS

Do you believe in survivalist in what they do when it comes to end time prophecy? Do you believe the end is near? Of course we have signs of the times and many predictions have come and gone, nevertheless it seems more and more signs are appearing. October 2015 seems to be again the predictions of what to watch for…the Blood Moon for one which just recently took place.  Upon this review, although we know not when the Lord Jesus shall return only God does, this review upon the end days state January 2017 is a time in history where we will never forget.

end-of-the-world is coming predictions Jan 2017.... do you believe it? My mother has a friend who is always constantly watching preaching on end times.  She is an older lady who has been a Christian many years and has retired from her job.  She doesn’t leave her home much only to go to buy more and more food and supplies to survive to get ready for the years of heartache for she calls herself the “watchman”.  She believes we should be storing up food, water and supplies because of the great tribulation coming.  Although she doesn’t believe Christians will go through the tribulation because Jesus will rapture us out, she believes however we will go through hard times for a bit beforehand.  She has told mom several times that a great earthquake or natural disaster will happen leaving us as Americans to turn to God again for help as a nation.  She talks about the economy as well as the market crashing and how money will be obsolete.  She believes she is helping by telling people to get ready for survival during this time.  She truly believes we are on the edge of the end and can’t understand why preachers are not preaching this message.

What are the signs of the end times? My husband and I have been in ministry for over 30 years. We have seen over the years how the Dooms Day Message has effected people in general.  Remember Y2K?  Although we should live our lives prepared however we are not in promoting fear or entertaining people with the thought of provoking people to turn their lives over to God so they can escape the wrath of God.  My prayers that everyone would be saved and that during this dispensation of grace, that people would turn to God in love for a relationship between God and human creation.  I want people to fall in love with a loving God, knowing that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins but alive again in resurrection so all could believe in Him, receive Him, live for Him and promote abundant living in Him.  He is our one and only hope of glory in salvation.

I believe that God will always protect his people.  He loves us.  His judgment will be upon the unbelievers and those who turn away from him. As a born again believer, filled with His Spirit I know I am saved and I will be protected.  As of the days of Noah, he took Noah and his family out before one rain drop fell, and as in the days of Lot, God pulled Lot out before one fire hailstone fell on Sodom and Gomorrah.

I will not promote fear but I will at least post this information for those who wish to read it.  I received an email the other day about this particular topic and its thought-provoking so I thought I would share.

Mamma’s Fan

mama's old fan in my roomAs I lay in bed at night with my box fan blowing straight on me I try not to let my thoughts tumble through my mind.  Sleep, somehow it escapes me until I tell my mind to rest.  I lay there thinking of the day and try to focus on wonderful memories to help me go to sleep.  I think how my mother in the middle of the summer time telling me to lay really still and you will feel the breeze of the fan from across the room.  She would also tell me that while we lay inside the tent on those hot summer days spent at the lake although I don’t think there was a breeze flowing through a tent, I still believed her.

noxema for sunburnsSunburned she put Noxzema all over us, with bugs on the floor and us laying on sleeping bags with the sound of crickets we fell asleep with peace knowing we could sleep beside our mom.  Dad sometime slept on a cot outside because he would always go fishing early. We would wake up with the smell of bacon cooking, fresh sliced tomatoes, gravy and biscuits from a skillet.

I think back then we didn’t have air condition but an old box fan in our room.  The noise and the comfort of home, aw put me to sleep.  I also remember laying in the back of the pick up truck on the way home from those long week ends coming from the lake.  We would put a sheet over us and let it blow and eventually fall asleep before we got back to home.

The noise of the fan or the air blowing, the feel of the breeze brings the comfort of my soul.  It makes me smile.

I realize I was blessed when I grew as a child with wonderful parents and a mother who cooked, cleaned and made sure we were comforted even with the nightmares, she always made us feel safe.

As I pondered on how God looks down on us, He wants us to feel the comfort of peace and safety too.  Just as an old box fan in the still of the night it brings a breeze of the Holy Spirit whispering “I love you and I will protect you”.  I pray as you rest your head down tonight, think upon the childhood memories of sweetness and what brought you peace as a child.  Remember, you are a child of God now and He will never leave you nor forsake you, listen for His still small voice to whisper even in the middle of the night.

My Focus

My focus from CorinthiansNotes from journal: Reading Corinthians :1

One of the things I noticed as Paul was writing to the church of Corinth:

*He encouraged believers

*He wanted them to be blessed

*He wanted them to have peace in their heart and mind

*He doesn’t want to stop thanking God for having people in his life especially other believers

*He reminds us all to be thankful in how God has enriched our lives, given us truth, power and the ability to speak, and has given us forgiveness and grace

He also tells us:

* Don’t argue or have church splits

*Desire unity in thought and purpose

*Boast only what God has done

Sometimes we desire signs, or sometimes people think Christians are foolish but we must remember that Jesus has made us acceptable to God, pure and holy and that He alone purchased us.

In this little chapter it speaks much to me.  My prayer and focus is to always remember to encourage others and be happy for the blessings that come their way.  Every decision I make must be that of peace and to promote peace and unity within the hearts and minds of people.  I must always remember to be thankful for what Jesus has done for all of us, purchased us so that we may be a blessing to others.

God On Facebook

Poked by GodThere is something interesting about Facebook that can just consume people’s time.  I ponder if it is just the social interaction people were created to have, to establish relationships, to stay in contact with people and make new friends.  I loved hearing the responses to my friends on their answer of why they use Facebook when I posed the question “why use Facebook.”  For the most part it was for social reasons and to keep them connected with other people.  Some argue that Facebook should not be used to replace actually interaction with people literally but how can that be argued with a person who chooses to stay home and Facebook is their only outside source of social interaction?

Something that intrigued me is a poke button on Facebook.   This little procedure called “poke”.  This is where you can poke someone on your friend list, which they may or may not poke you back.  I did a little research on this and asked people “why” they poked their friends.  Sometimes it was just for fun, letting them know they were thinking of them, or they didn’t poke at all because they thought it to be flirtatious or rude, but the original meaning:

The poke feature is intended to be a poke gesture (similar to “nudge” in instant messaging) to attract the attention of another user.  A previous version of Facebook’s FAQ gave additional insight into the origin of the feature, stating: When we created the poke, we thought it would be cool to have a feature without any specific purpose. People interpret the poke in many different ways, and we encourage you to come up with your own meanings.

The other night God spoke to me with a little nudge.  It reminded me of the “poke” on Facebook.  I giggled knowing that sometimes we always have a way of letting other things come before Him. He is constantly and patiently waiting for us to notice Him.  I realize that I may go around the same mountain again and again before I learn something, Lord knows I want wisdom in my life.  How many times do we continue our own agenda, do what we want to do without giving time to Him?  How many times do we justify our good actions and intentions without including Him?  It is easy to get caught up in the social action of “getting busy” or “Facebook addiction”, but it is not the true meaning of life.  God can only fill the void that as humans crave for social interaction.  I have to watch myself to stay balanced in this area.  Of course I have God on my mind throughout the day, I know He is with me always and I am constantly thinking of Him.  I guess what I am really saying is that I need to set aside the morning time again to walk with only Him.  He has started again to awake me early.  He has poked me and is waiting for me to poke back.  He wants that relationship, that social interaction without all the white noise in the background.  He wants me to listen for His voice, see His messages, more than instant messages or blips on a screen.

Poke me GodAs I was reading this morning:  Be honest in your estimate of yourselves, measuring your value by how much faith God has given you.  Just as there are many parts to our bodies, so it is with Christ’s body.  We are all parts of it, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we have different work to do.  So we belong to each other and each needs all the others.  God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well.  …. Don’t just pretend you love others; really love them.  Hate what is wrong.  Stand on the side of the good.  Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other.  Never be lazy in your work but serve the Lord enthusiastically.  Be glad for all God is planning for you.  Be patient in trouble and prayerful always. Romans 12

What does God say?

I am here daughter, don’t be afraid, here my call for I will never leave you nor should you be anxious for nothing.  Trust in my plan and have faith in your destiny.  You must rely on me more and not on your own strength, talents or what you can give to others.  I made you that way, and I can give you what you need to do the work I have chosen for you.  I God who have made the trees, the animals, the waters, the deepest sea, the darkest night, I also have made you.  I have equipped you for the plan that is laid out for you to follow.  Do not get off the path, stand tall and walk.  Do not let others distract you as you are walking and trusting.  Keep your vision on me.  Keep your sight on me.  As a baby walks toward his mother for the first time, I am calling with my arms outstretched.  You are mine and I am yours, no one can take me away from you.  Just as a new mother stares at every detail at her child there is so much love, and more so I have for you.  I will help you must you must let me, not on your own strength but my strength.  Display my fruit of love, do not stray from me but stay focused on me, it is I who provides and not anyone else.  You are a tree planted by waters and you will flourish.  Run to me daughter like a daughter daddy moment and let me take care of it.  Do not fret or get upset when dealing with your siblings, you are good, please do not cause harm but pray for them, forgive them and encourage them.  I call out to them also this very same thing and yet they also get distracted. I love you with an enduring love, come and play with me.  Sit with me, talk to me and rest.  Let me consume you with my love to overflowing.

Having Real Peace

Finding peace in God requires believing and trustingOur Christianity should be touching our lifestyle… Joyce Myers

Romans 5:1-5

WORD:  Now since we are made right in the sight of God by faith in his promises, we can have real peace.

PRAYER: Lord, teach us to know that peace is for all of us and I pray that we know that it is for us.  I believe the reason why we don’t have peace in our life is because we do not know that it is for us at all times.  We can have peace despite our circumstances we know to be true but living it out is hard for us to actually do while going through the trials or temptations because we get our eyes focused on the wrong things instead of you.  We say that we believe in your word, stand on your word, yet seeing people want to hurt you through their actions or words is very hard to take.  I don’t like it when the enemy uses people to cause division through justifying their actions in believing what they are doing is right and just.

WORD:  It is a place of faith to believe He has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be.  We can rejoice when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us, they help us learn to be patient, patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust god more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.

PRAYER:  We must know who we are, and why we are called so God you must open our eyes and give us daily signs of who we are in Christ.  Our identity is so meaningful and important.  It is hard to understand why it takes years for us to understand who we are in you.  We must believe with confidence everything we go through is ordained by you Lord.  You are making us stronger and stronger, able to stand for the purpose of what you have called us to do and I am thankful for that.  I am gaining more understanding in what the Scripture says about counting it all joy, even the failures or the wrong turns we make.   I must trust you Lord that you are developing us to fulfill everything you have called us to do.  Help me to be persistent, consistent and stand despite of how people treat us, because in the end Lord you know our heart better than anyone else.  Let Your Holy Spirit fill our hearts to overflowing to endure what you have in store for our daily living.  I love you Jesus!

Be Dead

How easily people are swayed determines the wisdom and spirit that is within them.  I often question God about wisdom. I know I can read about it all through proverbs and gain in just asking God for it.  I pray for it.  I want it.  James 1:5 New Living Translation (©2007)
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

http://betterlifecoachingblog.com I love what Darren says in a post:

You don’t get wisdom by reading great books or blogs.  You don’t get wisdom by spending time with an amazing mentor. You don’t get wisdom by attending conferences with the best motivational speakers. You don’t get wisdom by going to university or night school. You don’t get wisdom by observing those who are the leaders in your field.  You get it as you apply all that you’ve learned from the above.  You get it by taking risks, making mistakes and learning from your experiences.  You get it by making decisions and assessing your progress so that you can change your direction along the way.  You get it by scraping your knees and getting dirt under your fingernails.  You get it by finding out what works in your own context and circumstances.  Jeff Foxworthy who said that, “Wisdom equals knowledge plus scars.”

Another  short story I received in an email is worth sharing too.  I am unsure where or who published it but holds true to all of us.

Once, there was a community of wise monks who lived in the desert. One day, a man arrived at the monastery, asking if he could stay and learn wisdom from the monks. The old abbot came out and greeted the traveler, then asked why he had come.

The man answered, “I want to be wise, but I only have the weekend.”

The abbot smiled, because many men hoped for the wisdom which had taken him a lifetime to accumulate. He replied, “To begin, go to the graveyard and spend the day cursing the dead. Tell them they lived useless lives, and the world is better off without them.”

The man thought this was strange, but he did as he was asked. The next day, the abbot asked the traveler, “So, what did the dead say?” The man replied, “Nothing, they’re all dead!”

The abbot told him, “Today, go to the graveyard and spend all day praising the dead! Shower them with blessings, exhort them, and speak of the many ways society has benefited from their life’s work.”

Now the man was thoroughly bewildered, but he did as he was asked. The next day, the abbot asked the traveler, “So, what did the dead say?”

The man replied, “Nothing! They’re all dead! And I have to leave today!” The wise old abbot looked at him and said,

“What wise men they must be, to not be swayed by either the empty blessings or angry curses of other people. They must know true happiness.”

New Living Translation (©2007) Ephesians 4:14 -15
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

English Standard Version (©2001) 1 Corinthians 14:20
Brothers, do not be children in your thinking, infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

New Living Translation (©2007) 1 Peter 2:1
So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech.

New Living Translation (©2007)  Romans 6:4
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

So with that all said, wisdom comes when we make up our mind to be dead in the flesh and live in Christ Jesus.  Sometimes I need reminding of that when the joys of trial and persecution comes my way. 🙂

Placid

This is the word God gave me this morning.  Many decisions and directions we face everyday, trying to understand this life we live in or trying to make sense of it all is not a simple task, it is hard.  Knowing identity, seeking truth and promoting Kingdom with Divine will is not always easy for it requires strength and perseverance.  It is taking a big step of faith and truly relying on the promises God has given you.  Naysayers, evil doers, backbiters and trouble makers are always present but through Jesus Christ and His mercy we learn to ignore them seeing them simply as gnats that buzz around the fruit.  Annoying yes, but present always, however all working to the good.

It is a product of this nature, this world we live in.  The animal world has the scavengers too, yet they go on with their daily life, aware yet unhindered by brushing away what they can.  Annoyed, yet not changed in their daily life, unmoved with their feet planted on solid ground.  There will always be pests yet there is always peace even during the presence of pests.

Placid is the word God gave me this morning.  I didn’t even know what the term meant until I looked it up.  It means peace.  (of a person or animal) Not easily upset or excited.

So if you woke up this morning feeling uneasy with life or the circumstances going crazy or hectic, be rest assured a supernatural peace is being released right now upon your life.  I feel it and it is confirmed with the Word.

The apostle prays for the Thessalonians. And let us desire the same blessings for ourselves and our friends. Peace with God. This peace is desired for them always, or in every thing. Peace by all means; in every way; that, as they enjoyed the means of grace, they might use all methods to secure peace. We need nothing more to make us safe and happy, nor can we desire any thing better for ourselves and our friends, than to have God’s gracious presence with us and them. No matter where we are, if God be with us; nor who is absent, if God be present. It is through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we hope to have peace with God, and to enjoy the presence of God. This grace is all in all to make us happy; though we wish ever so much to others, there remains enough for ourselves.

The Lord of peace – Jesus Christ, who is called our peace, Ephesians 2:14; and The Prince of peace, Isaiah 9:6. May he give you peace, for he is the Fountain and Dispenser of it.

Always – Both in your own consciences, and among yourselves. By all means, methods, occasions, instruments, and occurrences; peace or prosperity in every form and shape, in every way, in every place, May God grant you prosperity always, and everywhere.

The Lord be with you all – This is agreeable to the promise of our Lord: Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world; Matthew 28:20. May the Lord, who has promised to be always with his true disciples, be with you! Christians are the temple of God, and the temple of God has the Divine presence in it. May you ever continue to be his Church, that the Lord God may dwell among you!

2 Thessalonians 3:16

New International Version (©1984)
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Shadows of Dung, Dry, Death!

He will always lead us thru the dark places, either carries or prods us to move into a non comfort zone.  We should have no fear through transition, even when we have lack understanding of the process and at times question ourselves.

This dark place is where you feel rejected, wounded and hurt while all the while wonder how you will make it thru.  Your trust in man is depleted believing all mankind are liars, mean and cruel with their words of torment rewinding and replaying over and over in your head.  It affects your thoughts, your daily life, your will power.  You are coupled with a sense falling in a black hole desperately looking for God’s perfect will only hoping you are walking in it.  The darkness of all darkness swarm like flies ready to lay and deposit their seeds of maggots with unbelief and disunity.  All the while you trudge through the dung crying in a madness wishing it would all end, what is the use, what is the reason while the voices of horror cry out to give in and give up, that it really doesn’t matter!  Walking or being carried either way you strap on the burdens of others pretending you have it all together, a King who hasn’t really lost direction but the cries of desperation seem to be echoed in the darkness as we are looking for a ray of light at the end of the path.

As you walk through the valley, you however hold on to a tiny spark of hope that through this you will learn something.  You learn to trust more, love more and lean on the Shepherd.   This valley is to the advantage.  This valley is not death to the soul but death to the flesh giving life to the character of Jesus.  It is a way to learn how to love, live and lead.  The other side of the valley is the rainbow… the promise awaits… keep moving!

Psalm 23:4 Matthew Henry Commentary: The valley of the shadow of death may denote the most severe and terrible affliction, or dark dispensation of providence, that the psalmist ever could come under. Between the part of the flock on earth and that which is gone to heaven, death lies like a dark valley that must be passed in going from one to the other. But even in this there are words which lessen the terror. It is but the shadow of death: the shadow of a serpent will not sting, nor the shadow of a sword kill. It is a valley, deep indeed, and dark, and miry; but valleys are often fruitful, and so is death itself fruitful of comforts to God’s people. It is a walk through it: they shall not be lost in this valley, but get safe to the mountain on the other side.

Watch Out For Wasp and Hornets

Last week I had two dreams about wasp/hornets trying to build a nest on the back of my patio.  In my dream I was unaware of the several five to six nest being built.  I casually brushed them off as one flew near my head.  One of the people in my dream noticed the nest and quickly warned me about them.  I made a mental note to get some spray but still ignored them.  Two days later, I dreamed of a swarm of wasp or hornets, covering a tree.  There was a child I was trying to protect, and noticed the wasp came down and covered the child.  The child stood there motionless but still stood.  I remembered the spray.  It was as though the wasp could read my  mind and they left the child and went back into the tree.  I thought there is no way a child could be standing or even live after that attack but the child, although looked sick was still breathing and living.  I knew the child would be OK.  The swarm then left the tree as if a wind came and blew them away.
I wanted to share that dream with you for two reasons.  First, wasps or hornets in a dream mean “higher demonic power” .  I truly believe God speaks to us in dreams either in a warning, to show us something or to pray against future endeavors.  So I looked up about wasps and hornets and compared them to the natural world.  A tree in a dream means leadership.  A child in a dream is figurative to just that nevertheless I was going to protect it even though I sat back and watched what happened.
Last week while at the Destiny Leadership Conference, a pastor from Texas who is used in the gift of Wisdom/Knowledge came up to Jeff and told him that he saw bees and wasps around him but God was sending a wind to blow these away.  It would leave Jeff standing, as a gold statue, sweet as honey.  Afterwards, I told the man my dream. We both smiled.   Amazing how God reveals!
Here is the correlation between my interpretation and the actual wasp or hornet.
  • A swarm is a group of insects moving in large numbers, and many species of insects are known to move in swarms. When wasps swarm, the situation can be dangerous because wasps are stinging insects that become aggressive very quickly. Unlike many bee species, most wasps are capable of stinging numerous times because their stinger is not barbed. A wasp or swarm of wasps that feels threatened will sting continuously until they feel safe again.
  • The enemy of our soul, especially higher demonic power will come in a swarm.  This power is aggressive, comes very quickly with stinging remarks not stinging just once but on a continuous basis with poisonous venom that causes division.  It swarms the body.  Attacks the body and cause the body to seem almost dead.

___________________________________________________

  • Many wasp species swarm primarily to protect their nest. If wasps sense their nest is in jeopardy, they may swarm the area to fend off the perceived attacker. Wasps are known to swarm people and animals if their nest is disturbed. Although most wasp species, like yellow jackets, build their nests in the eaves of houses and in trees, some wasps build their nests in bushes or plants such as ivy, and so they can be disturbed much more easily and unintentionally, causing a swarm reaction.
  • Higher demonic power will build in false or perceived leadership or in people who desire control.  Once disturbed the power starts to swarm with anger, bitterness and unforgiveness and quickly will get others to do so also.
____________________________________________________
  • Wasps may also swarm when they are searching out a new nest location. This is not a threatening swarm, as they are simply moving in a group to locate the building site for their nest. If you disrupt a swarm of wasps looking for a nest, they may become aggressive. Many wasp species, such as paper wasps and mud daubers, can be aggressive any time they are away from a safe haven like their nest, and so you should avoid coming in contact with them.
  • Principalities are usually assigned and proceed over a location.  However spirits move looking for whom they can reside and set up camp.  They can become aggressive when they are disturbed by prayer and a move of God.  They will do anything to stop a move of God, the miracles of God and cause hopelessness in a body of believers.

____________________________________________________

  • Social wasp species, like hornets, have a hierarchy system with a single queen, numerous male suitors and sterile female workers. The queen hornet is responsible for beginning the nest creation before the female workers step in to finish construction. During this process, the males and other female bees are extremely protective of their queen, and may become aggressive and swarm easily.
  • Demonic Powers usually are not alone.  They bring with them other spirits looking for hosts.  Usually there is one who starts and dominates who quickly spreads gossip, rumors and lies, which in turn goes forward adding to and builds the nests.  It is another way to cause division in the body, people are deceived into protecting the one who is causing the division.
____________________________________________________

Some wasp species can be aggressive without provocation, and may swarm or attack for no perceived reason. Paper wasps, for example, are naturally aggressive wasps that may attack people or animals without any real provocation. Because flying wasps can be difficult to identify in motion, the best course of action is to distance yourself from a wasp as much as possible to avoid giving the insect a reason to sting.

Why does the demonic power come all of a sudden?  It seems for no reason, yet when there is a move of God it attracts all forms of higher power to put a stop to it.  The best action is pray against it in the Spirit.  Distance yourself to the one causing division.  Do not listen to the lies or gossip to avoid getting stung.  Run to God, pray, read and keep yourself in the Father’s arms for safety.

Wasps eat animal food mostly and never store any honey. They make their nests from paper and colonies only last a season.  The basic color for wasps is black and yellow stripes. Some wasps have some red as well. We have about eight kinds of wasps. Americans call them “yellow jackets”. Wasps also have yellow legs.
Hornets are particularly big wasps. They live in similar paper nests and eat other insects. Though they look and sound fearsome, hornets are not really more dangerous than other wasps and perhaps even a bit less aggressive.
Deuteronomy 7:19-21

Remember the great terrors the LORD your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The LORD your God will use this same power against all the people you fear.

Moreover, the LORD your God will send the hornet among them until even the survivors who hide from you have perished.

Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.
Matthew Henry’s Commentary says:

In real kindness to the church, its enemies are subdued by little and little; thus we are kept on our guard, and in continual dependence on God. Corruptions are driven out of the hearts of God’s people, not all at once, but by little and little. The precept with this promise is, that they should not make friendship with idolaters. Those that would keep from bad courses, must keep from bad company. It is dangerous to live in a bad neighbourhood; others’ sins will be our snares. Our greatest danger is from those who would make us sin against God.

We are in danger of having fellowship with the works of darkness if we take pleasure in fellowship with those who do such works. Whatever brings us into a snare, brings us under a curse.
