Yesterday I discussed the issue with one of the four areas in which we as women want our husband to do or know. In marriage we all know it takes work and the work comes from changing ourselves and not trying to change the other person to meet our needs or wants. It is funny how men are first to respond quickly to this area since they are reactive to sight. After childbirth and aging, the woman can feel not so sexy and her body has changed since first married. Men usually expect their wife to continue to look good as if they were pre-child. However, I have seen most men continue to also let their physical appearance and health dwindle yet still expecting his wife to look good. The second area in which men should know is in the physical area. Take a look at these questions:
Are you taking care of yourself or is someone taking care of you?
Are you free from addictions? (smoking/drinking/drugs/food/sex/porn/gambling)
Are you physically healthy in playing shape or are you a couch potato?
Do you stay current in medical/dental checkups or do you care less?
Is the outward appearance a source of confidence or embarrassment – neat and clean or offensive?
Are you open to wearing what wife suggests?
Do you participate in physical activity that relieves tension and stress?
Do you smell good to your wife – wear her favorite cologne?
Does your physical appearance communicate, “I love you” to your wife?
Believe it or not, if men showed concern about physical appearance it will communicate honor to their wife. Men must make their appearance one of their priorities to really get their wife to feel as though she is loved and not just a servant to him.

When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?””Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.”
