Holding It Together

falling apartHave you ever felt like you were falling apart or being ripped apart and don’t know what to do?  God has a way of holding everything together.  Even when things go wrong and we don’t understand, God is there.  His presence is everywhere at all times.  For some reason, as humans when going through a difficult time we feel alone or as if God has abandoned us or is not listening to our prayers.  It is our faulty thinking most of the time in which our focus is on our circumstances around us instead of on God.  The enemy wants us to believe God has forsaken us to trick his way into creating strongholds in our life.  Once Satan gets a foothold, he can plant seeds of doubt, God’s will for our lives, unbelief, fear, anxiety, along with depression and hopelessness.  This starts a downhill spiral of emotions of failure as a Christian, parent, wife/husband, or punishment of past sins or unworthiness.  When this point happens we cave in to the process and tell ourselves this is what we deserve or I might as well go out and be more disobedient because God doesn’t really care.  Our thinking process goes into overload of thinking what we did wrong to deserve this or what more can I do for God to love me. Nevertheless this is all a trick of the enemy to get you to desert God.  God doesn’t neglect us but we choose to neglect Him. God doesn’t make one sick to teach a person a lesson or to obey Him.  God doesn’t make bad things happen such as affairs, divorce, death or murder.  God is love and is good.  He only wants His Kingdom come, His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.  In heaven, there is only goodness.  God doesn’t work against Himself.  I recently had a friend of mine who was seeking God’s direction and will.  A lady walked up to her husband and tried to curse him with these words, “You sure you are in the will of God?  I hope God doesn’t chastise you for your decision.” My friend called me in tears with fear gripping her heart and wondering if they had made the right decision.  First of all, I told her the lady was out of the will of God and that she was actually pronouncing a curse. The lady was not an authority figure nor produces godly fruit, (that should have been the first red flag).   Most of the time when you make a decision and feel it is the will of God then stick to it.  I told her only when she accepted what the lady said was when she started feeling confused or fearful of God beating her with a stick so to speak for the decision in which her and husband had made. The enemy starts with thoughts and yes, he has a way of using good ignorant people to do his work and twist the will of God.   God wants us to be free and live an abundant in our gifts and callings.  Nevertheless God is still with us through it all.

questioning The one thing we must understand is, God loves us no matter what.  No matter what we have done or have not done.  We don’t have to work, prove or do something else to earn His love or acceptance.  God is good, He loves unconditional and He accepts who we are in ALL times and seasons.  He truly knows your soul, your inner man, your heart, your desires, your needs and wants.  We are made in Him, for Him and with Him.  He holds us together.  When we are a child of God, we take on the very essence of Father/Child relationship.  He picks us up when we fall, He cradles us when we are sad or lonely, He fixes the messes we may have created and He carries us through the storm.  He holds it all together.

God holds all things together, He is always with us

Prayer:  Lord, I thank you for lifting  me up above the circumstances of life, through rough seasons, through the ignorance of my stinking thinking.  I praise you for holding it all together for me even when I feel like I am falling apart.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Colossians 1:17  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Deuteronomy 31:6  Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
