Ever so often in my life, I am asked the question, “How do you know there is a God”? This is a part of my written response to ‘The Question’.
Many people have asked this question so don’t belittle yourself if you have had the same thought, because it is a question we must all face and ask ourselves in one point or time in all of our lives. In fact, it is His Spirit that has drawn you to the conclusion to ask yourself this very question.
Just thinking about our very purpose in why we live and what we were created can be very moving and sometimes complicated or confusing. It is reaching a point in our lives or age to say, “Is there something more?”. Because of hurts, past experiences and such we desire to know why. Why would God allow such turmoil in our world if he were a good God? Why do I have to go through this circumstance? Why, why, why can sometimes be a never-ending process in our thinking. God has entwined in our soul, our very core to search out the matter.
Each one of us is created with a mind, spirit and soul. We think, reason and we know that there is something more to life if we really touch deep into our existence. This is from time to time very hard to explain until you have actually experienced it. We are created to find answers to our questions. It is born into our very nature to seek whom our Creator is and why He created us. Whether you agree or disagree is irrelevant. The fact of a void remains even when we search different spiritual or physical venues to try and fill that void. The void is filled only when we acknowledge and give our lives totally to Jesus Christ, serving Him with mind, heart, body and soul and will not be filled otherwise. If a person refuses the wooing to walk into the spiritual side with relationship to the Creator, then the searching continues on.
Basically everyone believes in a higher power whether they channel it to God or not. We all are born with faith. There is faith to believe in something whether if it is in ourselves or other things. Faith in ourselves still leaves us empty in the long run. Many people have become powerful with fame or fortune but continue to be empty and lonely. Faith in God however is implanted in each one of us. Faith will either grow or be dormant. We must pursue to increase that faith to believe. Unknown forces will always pull us one way or another and which ever one you feed is the one that will grow and you will become as is. You can be a believer or an unbeliever in which your actions produce who you are in all things. However, basically know one knows who you really are on the inside accept God.
I have found that if you truly desire to know the answer to this question is to ask yourself “Am I just asking a question” or “Do I really want to know the answer”? If you truly want to know and find out, then I can give your answer that you are looking for.
Religion in this world teaches us rules; regulations and laws in which we cannot uphold and we will always fail because of human nature, however relationship with God through Jesus Christ is different and people think it is hard find it. Searching for the matter reveals Revelation in this knowledge. Experience is being an active part in what you have learned and experience it through your senses. Revelation plus experience equals power. Once you tap into this power, it is undeniable to not know there is a God. It is pure and raw power in which is indescribable and glorious. I have experienced this aura and there is no turning back for me. I sought the same question and found my answer because I pursued beyond the normal religious aspects. I fought through religious and fake outlets and found pure peace and joy. I stopped asking the question “Why” and started knowing by faith each circumstance, good or bad was for a reason to bring Him glory and touch other people’s lives through my blessings or hurtful experiences in which I may or may not caused.
Once people have got pass the social aspect of religious church and move into these areas in which I am speaking about, the reality is evident. My life is a blessing and I see life as just a short time on earth to make a difference in the lives of others. God’s Spirit is drawing all to experience more through revelation. What you may be feeling is the need to feel the voids in your life deep within your soul. You will not find it in religion but through an experience with Him and His Spirit. There is more to life than what you currently see!
The Bible is a treasure map and if you read and live out the words of Jesus to be a reflection of Him plus allow the Holy Spirit to come upon you and fill you up as a vessel, then you will know what I am talking about. The Spirit illuminates from your soul as a reflection of the Redeemer of mankind.
Revelation in the question must be pursued by experience, which in turn you will find out the power and the answer to what you are looking for. I continue to find more revelation every day, experience miracles and answered prayers way beyond the norm. God is not a respecter of persons, what He has given me; he will also give to you. Start by believing in Him, ask His Spirit to move upon you and in you. Develop your faith by reading His Word and find a church that believes in more than just being religious. God wants to bless you and move through you with His gifts and power. Once you experience this, you will never turn back nor question if He exists.
God has and does want you to know Him. He loves you. I pray right now as you read this, you will feel Him in a way that you have never experienced before. He will speak to you in a small still voice. He moves, people’s lives are changing and healings are abundant. Love Him and seek Him and you will find. He does answer prayers; try Him beyond what you may think He will do, you will find out.
My question or response to ‘the question’ is, “How do you know there is not a God?”.
Prayer: Father, You are so good and glorious to send your son Jesus to die and to be resurrected. A plan and purpose for something so horrible to be used to give us life, faith and hope in our future. I acknowledge you to be my Creator, my God, my love and invite you to walk with me daily. Take my very being and soul and use it for your glory. Fill my void with your spirit to overflowing in a way that I have never experienced. Turn my life upside down to reach others. In Jesus Name. Amen.
John 14:1-2 Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. (NIV)
Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. (NIV)
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (NIV)
