Can one be chosen for more blessings? Do you have what God wants you to have or do you struggle from day to day? We can look around our world today and see some are blessed and some are not. Few stay on the path of a spiritual roller coaster, constantly going up and down, up and down. People can be on fire for God one day and be ready to give up the next. Then there are others who ride the spiritual carousel. They travel round and round with the same old day-to-day routine never getting anywhere in life or with God.
Our society is filled with so much sin and corruption that it is no wonder why so many good people fall away from God. There are so many false and counterfeit illusions of happiness in our world. I believe that the enemy has blinded some into thinking that God has placed them exactly where they are. What we do not realize is some may be in the place where God wants them to be but again there are some who have portrayed a negative image of how God really wants them. They choose not to live a blessed life. They choose not to bring the “now” kingdom into their sphere of living. Therefore this image has led any astray and who knows how many could have been a wonderful asset to the kingdom of God. God forgive those who have an image that no one would want to be a part of! We must get to the mindset of not wishing we had more, or that God needs to give us this or that because we don’t have what it takes. We need to let God use us for what we do have. If you are a weak Christian, then you have chose to be weak. If you are constantly falling backwards then you have chosen to do so. Jesus did not leave us without equipping us first for the battle of life with all its temptations. He didn’t leave us to be an example of a vagabond. He wants to use us right where we are! He wants us to realize who we are and what we can be. He wants us to impact the world and show others His signs, wonders and miracles! He wants His children to be blessed. It is up to you to choose how much and how many ways you can be blessed. It starts by throwing away traditional views of man, getting out of the box to seek God and the many wonders. He wants you to seek, to pursue Him. Anyone can find dirt at any time but it takes a determined person to find a diamond. The treasure is hidden and it is left up to those who will go and find it that get the reward or blessings from God. It is not that the silver spoon is passed down; it is the treasure map that is important. Everyone may have a piece of the map with some directions however if you don’t have the full map, you have limited your potential. Learn from others and be willing to step away from socialism, society and religion. Choose to have a relationship with the One who gives away the treasures of blessings.
I have brought good new to you today! Why? Because I have been one of many that have been blessed of God. Did you know that it is up to you to choose how you want to be blessed? It is up to you and your obedience to God. Everyone in life has the same opportunity but few choose it. Wanting the blessing will not bring it to pass nor asking for His blessing will. His Kingdom comes by doing things His way. To find the blessings is all about putting Jesus Christ first in all areas of your life. He is first and most important than spouse, children, work, hobbies, talent or entertainments. A challenge lies before you today. How will you choose?
Prayer: Lord I choose to be obedient to Your voice and to Your Word. Forgive me when I have failed You in so many ways with both, whether deliberately or out of ignorance. Continue to teach me, I want a teachable spirit to know more of You. Let me remember those things that you have shown me but pursue the deeper truths to add on to what I already know. In turn, by choosing to seek You on a deeper level, Your treasure, Your blessings will overflow my life. In Jesus Name…Amen.
Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD. (NIV)
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (NIV)
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God. (NIV)
