Going Beyond Knowing

deeper realms of knowing GodThe more deeply you are loved by God, the more you will see how deeply your friends, family, brothers and sisters in Christ are loved also.  Love comes without judgement.  There are three ways in which you can find God in a closer realm.

You can find God in solitude.  It is not easy to sit and listen for the small still voice and with our fast paced world we live in it is sometimes hard for me to just sit and be quiet without thoughts bombarding my mind.  In the word from God you will find the inner place of peace from which to live your life.  Solitude is where spiritual ministry begins.  We must learn to deal with enormous amounts of failures or success without losing our identity in who we are in Christ.  Find time in your daily schedule for peace and quiet, breathing in His Spirit and allowing Him to speak to you.  If you have an overwhelming feeling of distress, depression or anxiety, take time to listen and spend time in solitude with God.

You can find God in the community.  We all have something in common yet different gifts and talents.  We can learn from one another.  Don’t ever write off someone without first getting to know them and how God sees them.  This world can get pretty ugly and we can be an encourager for the saved and hope for the lost.  Try looking at people in your community through God’s eyes.  Pray for compassion and be the light to shine the way for others who may be blind to God’s abundance.  Your community has much to offer, so don’t neglect or resist the opportunity to learn from someone else that God has directed your paths to cross.

You can find God in ministry.  God doesn’t seperate people, people do that with their actions and attitudes.  God is there it give healing where ther is pain, joy to those who are sorrowful and dancing to those who mourn.  Ministry in giving will change your entire outlook.  If you focus on giving to others instead of focusing on yourself, you will find the heart of God.  Ministry meas to help people find life to be thankful even during the hard times.  God calls all of His Children to minister one to another, not hurt, not chastise, not judge but to lift one another up as a team.  Ministry goes beyond the world you may have framed with your family or close friends.  Ministry is sacrificing your time, effort, money and talents with those who you don’t always see eye to eye with.  Jesus wants us to love as He loved so in order to love in that way, is to give.

Prayer:  God, I want to find you in a deeper realm in solitude.  Help me to take time out of my schedule to listen, to rest and know your voice throughout the day.  Father, help me to have compassion and to see what others can offer for the Kingdom and to help me grow in you through them.  Jesus, help me to find a deeper commitment of ministry, to have your heart, loving and full of grace and mercy.  I want to find you in greater realms in all areas of my spiritual walk.  In Jesus name, Amen.
