Do you like to hang pictures on the wall? It seems when I eye it and guess it looks better than if I tried to do the math, use the level and make it precisely in the middle of the wall. It can be very frustrating when you try to hang several pictures on one wall and the frames are all different size and you want them proportioned and even. It seems sometimes there is always one frame that tends to lean toward a certain way. Nevertheless, frames can have a very important meaning when it comes to life. Hopefully by the time you finish this blog, you will look at frames with a different approach.
Did you know you control your frame in life? Your life is your world and your world is within a frame. Your frame can be made of any substance you like, can be decorated in color, length, size, width however you choose, you have the ability to frame your world. The picture inside your frame is created by your thoughts, your actions, your daily life, and your will. You ultimately control what comes into your frame or what doesn’t. Your frame is your safety net, your boundaries, your wall or substance that holds you all together.
My husband was speaking the other day about how we frame our world with the words we speak. When we release words into our frame, they bounce around within our frame and come right back to us, landing on the picture of life we have created. God ultimately wants to paint a masterpiece within our frames however we seem always to want to control issues or let negativity control our thoughts, which produce messy actions and not so pretty attitude. What is within our frame is always brought to the eyes of others. Think of yourself hanging on a wall in an art gallery. Your frame and picture that you have created is there for everyone to see.
The next time you hang a picture on a wall, or put a photo in a frame, think upon what your frame may look like and what you are putting in it. It’s your world and you can create your world by your actions. Our goal should be a reflection and image of Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Jesus, you know my world, my frame and the picture I am painting in my life. Help me to be a reflection of you and your image. Show me things in my life in which I need a renewing of my mind to think and speak differently to produce a glorious picture. In Jesus name. Amen.
Psalms 103:14 For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust. (NSAB)

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)
