Door With The Golden Handle

golden handlesOne of my weird dreams again.  Don’t remember it much except it was a wooden old door leading into a building.  The handle was very illuminating, as it had been sprayed bright gold.  I could see the door but was only steps away when I woke.  I don’t know what was inside, however I knew I was going through.  One of Jeff ‘s and I corporate prayers are to pray for opportunities.  This dream was a door of opportunity in which we are going to go in.  According to a dream interpretation gold is the symbol of great work and it symbolized the completion of the process, the accomplishment of the work of transforming the ordinary human into a spiritual being. Gold in dreams is also associated with accomplishment, spiritual rewards, and feelings of satisfaction, wealth, prosperity, and wisdom.

open door of opportunityWe know that God gives us dreams in a way of speaking to us while we are sleeping.  Some greatest revelations have been through dreams.  I used to dream of friends being pregnant before they even knew it.  This has happened over fifty times.  I now call the people I dream about just to give them heads up but I have not always been right and we laugh together.  So if I call you one day and give you the news, get ready!   Sometimes I dream if the child is a boy or girl.  One instance was with a woman who had been married over seven years and trying to conceive, her son now is a teen.  God also places special gifts within us for working to give Him the glory and people hope.

Now, back to the door. To dream that you are entering through a door signifies new opportunities that will be presented before you. You are entering into a new stage in your life and moving from one level of consciousness to another.  Since I only saw the door and was walking toward it, an opportunity awaits me.  To see a handle in your dream, suggests that you are in control of the situation. The dream may a metaphor indicating that you have a handle on a situation or on life.  Either way, the door, the golden handle I see is a good thing.

Sometimes we go through life and wondering what God is doing with us.  We don’t have to fight the battles for Jesus has already won. He alone provides and gives the increase for His glory, not ours.   We must trust Him though every situation and circumstance.  Through His death, burial and resurrection, we have the golden opportunity to live for Him.  He has the same door for all of us.  We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a generation who goes forth and reaches the lost with the great commission.  Galatians 6:9-10 tells us:  Let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do well unto all men especially into them who are of the household of faith.

We all have doors of opportunity.  At whatever time or place, and in whatever manner you have opportunity. The opportunity in general is our lifetime; but there are also many particular opportunities. Satan is quickened in doing hurt, reactive to situation causing damage to all.  By the same consideration let us be quickened in doing well.  Let us return the accusations, the remarks as Jesus did, turning the other cheek, forgiveness and love with silence, yet with prayer.  Let us see problems as opportunities to change us into Christ like.  However, as believers you will always have those who disagree with you, your religious point of views, your doctrine but never the less, your relationship with Jesus explains the true inner man.  Let us do well in every possible kind, and in every possible degree. We should be good to all men, neighbors or strangers, good or evil, friends or enemies. However, we are to be especially kind to them who are of the household of faith. For all believers is but one family no matter what or how you disagree.  There is a door of opportunity with a golden handle that awaits, are you willing to walk through?
